To Premier Smith and all Government of Alberta MLAs,

The allegations surrounding AHS procurement are deeply disturbing. The people of Alberta deserve transparency, accountability, and a healthcare system that serves them—not corporate interests. We demand a public inquiry led by a judge, the immediate removal of all government members implicated in this scandal, and a pause on all procurement for private surgical facilities until the public gets the full truth.

This is personal for me. I waited years in agony for a full hip replacement, which I finally received at the Peter Lougheed Hospital in December. This wait should never have been necessary. What if we ensured that every surgery could be done through AHS promptly? What if we stopped dismantling public healthcare just to funnel money to private facilities—where surgeries cost more and accountability is less? What if Albertans had real transparency about the decisions being made behind closed doors?

This is not governance. This is corruption. You are playing with our lives. It is abhorrent and unacceptable.

Albertans will not sit back while you sell off and destroy our healthcare system. Enough.

Sincerely,

Claire K.
